VISION

We Live, We Love,
We Serve

Hopewell was started on November 2, 1975, under the leadership of Pastor James H. Grandberry. Hopewell was formed from a split with Antioch MBC. Hopewell began as a Mission with only 13 members. The services were conducted at 185 Marshall Street in Pontiac, Michigan. In October 1976, the Hopewell Mission moved to the basement of 225 Harrison Street, Pontiac. On Harrison Street, the congregation began to receive new congregants. December 1977, the church moved into the building at 97 Mariva. Rev. William T. Vernon and Rev. Bennie Williams were instrumental in the transition of Hopewell from a Mission to a local church.
